Today's young missionaries are walking miracles. . .

Last night we had an amazing teaching experience. Sister Hsiao from Taiwan and Sister Sonntag from Boise, Idaho along with Elder Wright and myself met with Valli a man from Zimbabwe, We had met with him once before but he works in the coal mines as a machine mechanic and they work for one or two weeks then are off one or two weeks.  It make it difficult to know when they are available. He was very gracious the first time we met met him and he seemed interested.
Last night we showed up at his flat and he had invited 4 other men, flat mates or friends, to join the discussion.  So we are teaching 5 men.  They were very engaged and nodded as the sisters talked.  They taught them a lesson on the restoration.  Valli basically encouraged them to consider what was presented. It was one of those lessons where it was spirit driven and each person during the lesson knew exactly what to say and when to say it.  Vallie already had a Book of Mormon but the other four downloaded the Book of Mormon app right then and there.  We also got to bear testimonies of the Book of Mormon.  The Sisters were so cute. Sister Sonntag who had only been on her mission for a week and a half said, "that was so amazing".  We all were riding high.  The men we met may be moving soon to western Australia to another set of mines owned by the same company.  Being on the western side of Australia will cut down on the travel time for them to fly home for visits to Africa. We hope that we can have one more lesson before they leave and that we have planted seeds for the future.

We continue to see beautiful trees, bushes and plants even though it is winter here.  Not as many as during the summer months.  The temperatures are much more to my liking.  It has been ranging between 55 to 78 degrees farenheight during the day and 40 to 60 degrees at night.

This plant looks like a poinsettia but not ones like I have ever see.  The flowers are also about a foot across.

We are getting new mission leaders this week, President Gomez and Sister Gomez. He was born in South America but has lived in Australia for some time. His wife is a native of Australia.  We shall see what changes might be in store.
He and his wife will be coming to Rockhampton on July 8, 2025 to interview the young missionaries.  So we will probably have some Elders stay with us and have a couple of meals to make for President and his wife and the Eight missionaries in our District.

Just a pretty tree.
Bye for now.
